Plane Stick Golf Swing Trainer
The Plane Stick is designed to enable a golfer to feel instantaneously what it is like to swing on their correct swing plane. The Plane Stick is the most effective golf training aid on the market because you can actually hit shots with The Plane Stick at full speed without any risk of harming yourself or your club. At the same time it ensures that your takeaway and downswing are on the correct path. The Plane Stick is a telescoping aluminum rod that can be adjusted from 33 to 46 inches, with an adjustable tension controlled knob at its base to allow it to match any lie angle. This allows you practice with any club in your bag regardless of club lie or length. The rod is attached to a solid 1-inch thick cross-shaped polyurethane base, matching the thickness of most driving range mats. This provides the Plane Stick with excellent stability and durability on any surface (grass or cement behind mats). The base is easily folded and inserted into its durable lightweight nylon carry bag for convenient transporting and storage.
What makes the Plane Stick so unique is that at the top of the telescoping rod is a 18-inch foam and nylon sleeve covering a breakaway spring. This enables the golfer to contact the Plane Stick without risk of damage to their body or club, unlike the traditional shaft in the ground. The Plane Stick also has a target line string to ensure simple precise set up every time. It is the training aid that has everything a student needs to ensure quick and easy swing improvements.
In 1990, novelist Paul Auster was asked to contribute a Christmas story to the New York Times. The resulting piece, Auggie Wren's Christmas Story, forms the basis for his screenplay for SMOKE. Directed by Wayne Wang and set in a Brooklyn cigar store, Auster expanded the story to include four other characters whose lives intertwine with Auggie Wren's. As Auggie, the manager of the store that serves as a neighborhood meeting place, Harvey Keitel gives a restrained, mellow performance. The other characters, Paul (William Hurt), a blocked writer; Rashid (Harold Perrineau Jr.), a troubled youth; Ruby (Stockard Channing), Auggie's former lover; and Cyrus (Forest Whitaker), Rashid's long-lost father, form a web of relationships over a few summer days. Auster, who had previously adapted his novel THE MUSIC OF CHANCE into a taut script, here exhibits a loose, almost improvisational style as he lets his characters simply talk about their lives. Wang eschews the big, somewhat melodramatic style he used in THE JOY LUCK CLUB for relaxed, natural direction that allows the actors, who are all terrific, to project an everyday realism seldom seen in American movies. The actual Christmas story appears at the end in a beautiful black-and-white montage, accompanied by a bittersweet Tom Waits song.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseInteractive Features: Scene Access Interactive Menus
